“Frida’s hand earrings” gold plated

“Frida’s hand earrings” gold plated

Inspired by a famous autoportrait or Frida kahlo.

The “hand” earring that she wears in a couple of her portraits was given to her by Pablo Picasso. The hand on the banderole as well as on the earrings, makes reference at what is called in Mexico “milagros”. Milagros are pieces made of wax or ivory shaped in the form of the part of the human body that the person wants to be healed, and left on the altar of the Saint they pray to.

NOW available with a “closed” or “open” creole (both 1,2cm diameter). If you have trouble closing small creoles, the open one might be more comfortable for you.

The hand is about  has a 1,5cm long and has been sawn out of  silver.

Also available in silver

These earrings can be worn symmetrically or a-symmetrically

***Every pair of earrings is cut, soldered  and polished by hand so some small difference with the earrings pictured may occur***
